There are only
a few truly world class fishing destinations and I'm happy to say
I live and fish in one of them - Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor
Florida.
Anglers the world over travel here for our giant tarpon, scores
of snook and marauding schools of bull redfish. It's a true sportsman's
paradise with more scenery and natural splendor than you can imagine.
Be warned - it is easy to get lost in time here. Once enveloped
by the caressing blue sky above, the miles of mangroves and the
crystalline waters of our expansive flats, it's easy to believe
you have been transported back to the unspoiled Florida of yesteryear.
The bounty sometimes staggers even me. Days of fishing here can
end with catches of 40 to 50 snook and dozens of reds and trout.
Knowing it could happen today is with us each and every time we
motor out.
So lay your head back and feel the warm sun on your face and as
we come up on plane and point our bow into the expansive flats before
us, take a deep breath of the clean, salty air. It helps with the
butterflies of anticipation that grip every angler who comes here
in search of fishing adventures. Our day is already perfect and
it has just begun.
